Snow & Ice Management

Residential Plowing

How nice would it be to wake up and have your driveway already plowed, clear and safe to drive on? Linehan Landscaping provides Salem and Windham NH residents snow plowing and removal services so that your driveway will be safe and clear of snow.

It would be convenient if Mother Nature only decided to drop snow on us when we are on a skiing vacation and the fresh powder is welcomed with a big smile. However, this is rarely the case. Typically you still need to get out of your driveway the morning of a snowstorm. This is why we offer 24-hour service throughout the winter.

With Linehans, inclement winter weather doesn't have to be a hassle! We provide our customers with round the clock services. We understand that snow storms can hit in a flash and that you will need our team; therefore we are on standby to get out to your property promptly to ensure that your property will be treated like it's our own.

Dependable and on-time, our seasoned in-house team and extensive fleet of company owned equipment allow us to make sure your driveway is safe.

Commercial Plowing Operations

Protecting your employees & customers during the winter months!

With our over 25 years of snow-removal experience, let Linehans keep your commercial property clear, clean and safe with our full-service snow and ice removal team. We offer friendly and comprehensive service all season long, and with Linehans, no job is too big or too small.

We specialize in commercial properties, from the largest and most difficult properties to smaller strip centers, stores, and office buildings. We are capable of handling large sites, including regional malls, large shopping centers, office and industrial parks.

We have been running commercial plowing operations in the Salem area since 1976. We understand what it takes to handle the worst New England winters. It begins with advanced planning and management control systems. It requires the right equipment and trained personnel. It also demands experienced decision-making. Friendly and timely customer service tops off the Linehan experience.

Prior to the winter season, we visit each property to inspect the site, performing a detailed pre-season inspection, photographing key areas, and beginning to lay the foundation for a snow and ice management program that suits your needs. We ensure that a unique strategy is developed for each property, including the assignment of required equipment, operators, sidewalk personnel, materials, and supervision. We strive to understand our customers and provide custom solutions to their unique situations, not offer them cookie-cutter service options!

Your service does not end with the last storm of the season either.  We come back after the snow has melted and we perform a Post-Season inspection on all of our commercial accounts to ensure all your expectations have been met.

Comprehensive snow and ice management including:

•           Parking lot plowing.

•           Parking lot applications of salt and de-icing agents.

•           Sidewalk and walkway snow blowing & shoveling.

•           Sidewalk and walkway applications of site specific de-icing agents.

•           Snow Hauling and removal

Because ease and accessibility are priorities for us, our staff is fully trained on snow equipment operation,    on-site troubleshooting, and safety awareness. When a storm is imminent, we're on the job 24/7, monitoring meteorological data, keeping you informed of changes, and standing by with the necessary equipment and manpower to handle anything Mother Nature can throw at us.

As owners we personally check every one of our commercial properties each morning, and as needed throughout the day, for re-freezing conditions or trouble spots such as blowing snow or unexpected roof runoff.

Our company’s philosophy for Snow and Ice Management is "all our trucks, loaders, bobcats, sanders and walkway crews operating within 3-4 miles of each other equals the best and most timely service".

Because travel during a winter storm between distant points, even just 10 miles, is difficult and extremely time consuming at best, trucks traveling to service locations two, three or even more towns away from their home base simply cannot provide the timely service a commercial site needs and demands. This is very noticeable to facility, retail managers and customers in more severe storms. When an "out of town" company has a breakdown, truck replacement can be HOURS!  Being local and in the neighborhood gives us an enormous service advantage.

Prior to the winter season, we populate our vehicle management control system with all our properties. This allows us to maintain communication and tracking of all trucks and pieces of equipment during storms giving us the power to allocate assets in an efficient and timely manner to meet our customer’s needs.

Going the extra mile for you!

Maintaining clear sidewalks during harsh New England winters is critical to ensuring safe access to pedestrian walkways, steps, handicap ramps, and building entrances. The reduction of slip-and-fall accidents is a significant byproduct of maintaining clear sidewalks.

While many of our competitors shy away from providing sidewalk clearing services, we recognize that such services are essential to a comprehensive maintenance program and have invested heavily in this area.

We utilize dedicated sidewalk personnel who have received extensive training, site-specific instruction, and are supervised by our crew captain. Our walkway and shoveling crews are dedicated to walkway service only; arrive in box trucks with all equipment and materials necessary for full service.

We have the ability and experience to efficiently haul snow either on site or off site. Using a combination of plows, pushers, loaders, and dump trucks, all working in tandem-we can haul snow as quickly as it is plowed and move it to its final destination.

We are committed to protecting our environment and are continually seeking improvements in our processes and products. While it has been common in New England states to apply sand to improve traction, we no longer recommend this practice. We save our customers significant amounts of money by using economically superior products compared to sand.

The addition of Magic Salt® to our product line-up is an example of this commitment. It is a safe, non-corrosive, and environmentally friendly product. Magic Salt begins as ordinary rock salt that we treat with an EPA “Design for the Environment Award Winning” liquid; an agricultural based performance enhancer, blended with magnesium chloride.  Once this environmentally friendly liquid (which has more positive health and environmental characteristics than conventional de-icers) bonds with rock salt, the corrosive nature of the rock salt is diminished – making Magic Salt® safer for concrete, pavement, people, pets and plants.

We offer our customers a variety of choices for materials, including:

•           Magic Salt®

•           Bulk & Bagged Salt

Technology Solutions

Like our other services, we have a proven process and quality controls such as our own reliable network of weather stations that we use to independently verify snow amounts at all managed properties. This type of data is what allows us to ensure accurate and timely dispatching.

As we all know, snow and ice services can be very costly but we are always conscious of your budget; we not only monitor the weather forecast leading up to the storm but we also plan according to when the winter weather will strike and what is going to happen after the storm. If a post storm warm-up is forecasted, we will look to save your budget by managing the snow and ice differently than if a prolonged Arctic blast is to follow.

Snow and Ice Management is our full time occupation during winter months. All of our commercial equipment operates in Salem, NH only during snowstorms. We do not use any subcontractors. This includes operation of large and small loaders, pickup trucks to heavy 6 wheel dumps and sanders. We are always available! Operators and management are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Never an answering service!

Creating partnerships is what we have been known for since our inception. We seek long-term partnerships with our customers and strive to earn their trust, not manipulate them for short-term gain.

We take pride in what we do and strive for flawless execution in all areas, not taking short-cuts to save a buck.

We have decades of real-life hands-on experience. Call the leaders in snow and ice management today, and let Linehan Landscaping and Property Maintenance take the hassle out of winter, you'll be glad you did!
